The One Habit That Beats Faster Reflexes In A Runner
Landing a long run isn't really about faster fingers. Four habits below matter more than raw reaction speed.
Look ahead of the character, not at it
Watching the character directly means reacting to obstacles a beat too late. Keeping focus slightly ahead gives more warning before each jump or slide.
Commit to the lane, don't drift
Hovering between two lanes to keep options open usually ends in hitting something from either side. Picking a lane early avoids that entirely.
Slide early, jump late
Slides need less precise timing than jumps, so leaning on them a touch early is safer than waiting - jumps are the opposite, and firing them right before the obstacle lands cleaner.
Don't chase every coin
Detouring for a coin pickup is what causes most avoidable hits. Letting a few go is almost always the safer play at higher speed.
None of this needs a special controller - a keyboard or a thumb on a touchscreen reacts the same way once the timing is right.
